We reside in Brokenhead, MB and decided to take over YIA, essentially to better meet our own technology needs on a daily basis. We then realized that there are other families in rural areas that are struggling with the same technology issues we did and we have now decided to grow our business to better meet the needs of other families in the rural areas of Manitoba.

We grew tired of hearing the big companies always tell us “We'll have service in your area in the next year or two”. Well that was 4 years ago and we are still waiting to have efficient, affordable high speed internet in our area from those particular companies. It became more apparent to us that we required high speed internet when our children came home from school and needed to use the internet to do their homework. When you have more than one child in the house and they are both waiting to use the internet, on dial up services, it just wasn't working for us. Therefore, we had to find a way to bring effective, affordable internet to our area. Technology is a daily part of our lives and we chose to make it our reality by offering this service to others.
